It is signed by Pizero Design and Exactly FRA', the App dedicated to the young and very young people of the Municipality of Lucca.
Presented on April 27 (2022) as part of the Tour promoted by the Minister for Youth Policies Fabiana Dadone, in the presence of the municipal councilor Daniele Bianucci and Scuola Zoo, the app was designed to enable teenagers and young people to network with each other, but also to learn more about the events and services in your area.
Who are NEETs?
The acronym NEET stands for “Not in Education, Employment or Training” and refers to the sadly famous phenomenon of people between the ages of 14 and 35 who are not engaged in study, work or job training. A global trend, which in Italy has now sensitized various segments of the population, to the point of attracting the attention of politics.
It is in this context that the NEET Working Tour, a national itinerant awareness-raising event that saw Lucca as its only Tuscan stop.
FRA', a name
Pizero Design, in collaboration with Genau (who took care of the creative part and the naming), has created an iOS and Android mobile app able to collect all the public and private services present in the territory. The target of the app is young people, often unaware of having many different opportunities around them.
We are not just talking about extracurricular activities, courses and sports, but also job training, job opportunities, artistic and cultural events.
The goal: to create a network
The habit of constant connection makes the app one of the most suitable tools to attract the attention of young NEETs. This was the goal pursued by Pizero Design, which connect each service to its respective social pages and useful contact details, in order to make the first contact more spontaneous and immediate.
The services contained in the app - which does not require registration - are both public and private and are divided into 10 thematic areas that can also be navigated through a hashtag search.
The system also includes a QR code generation system, which allows users to scan posters, flyers and brochures found around to obtain more information.
What do young people really like?
Question that opens a seemingly unsolvable problem: How can we effectively intercept the needs of young people? and propose activities that are valuable and have a real impact?
The Pizero Design app also aims to give event organizers an overview, because it collects user feedback through a system of “likes” and reviews.
These preferences allow event organizers, but also those in charge of youth policies, to have a picture of what is most successful, so as to more effectively counteract the abandonment of public life by young people, whether it is study, work or participation.
